Bio

My name is Rachel Thayer, I live in the inspiring city of Portland, Oregon. I've been known to be wildly creative and have an excellent "eye" for beauty when looking through the camera lens.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art Photography at the University of Oregon in 2007. After graduating, I moved to Los Angeles to learn what the business is all about. I assisted several professional fashion and commercial photographers in L.A. and know what it takes to make an excellent photograph.

I am inspired by simplicity. It's the texture of a background or the way the light hits the face that can elevate a photograph to a higher level of beauty and meaning. My goal is to capture real moments and take photos that move and inspire. I can shoot in the studio or on location and I would love to be a part of your life's memories.

Rates

Portrait, Family and Engagement sessions are $200 and include:
- 2-3 hour photo session.
- High-resolution, custom retouched images.
- 2-8x10 prints of your choice.
- Online viewing and ordering.

Wedding sessions start at $2,000 and include:
- Engagement session with 2-8x10 prints of your choice.
- All day event coverage (up to 10 hours).
- High-resolution, custom retouched images.
- Online viewing and ordering.
- $50 print credit.

Facts and Important Information:

Images will be delivered 2-3 weeks after your session
in a private online web gallery where you can view and purchase photos of your choice.

Full payment for a session is due the day of the shoot (cash or check accepted).

A $300 non-refundable retainer fee is required when booking weddings. This assures the reservation of your wedding day.
